CatchmentCARE is proud to present two new videos as part of the project’s Groundwater work. These videos are a demonstration of what is involved with installation of groundwater monitoring boreholes. The drilling of 50 boreholes for new groundwater monitoring stations is a key aspect of the Catchment Care project. With each new borehole that is being drilled, we are discovering more about the valuable groundwater resources of the North of Ireland and the vital role they play in sustaining our rivers, lakes, and wetlands. These boreholes will be used as a long-term monitoring stations to identify much earlier if our activities are damaging groundwater enabling us to make changes sooner to protect them and our rivers. They will also show us how climate change is affecting our groundwater resources and enable us to make wise choices about how to use and protect them as we transition to a low carbon society. They can be found on the CatchmentCARE You Tube channel at: https://youtu.be/ibHmVujnARo – Full Version of Video; https://youtu.be/hqQmEy3HHV4 – Short Version of Video
